Multiple independent talents have received invitations for WWE tryouts next weekend in Minneapolis over SummerSlam weekend.
Wrestlers posting announcements of their invites include MLW’s Josh Bishop, Titus Alexander, Oxx Adams, OVW’s J-Rod, Colton Theron Vaught, Conan Lycan and Josiah Jean.
Bishop, 29, has been wrestling regularly for MLW and replaced Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin) as Donovan Dijak’s partner, where they hold the MLW tag titles. Last year, he wrestled in a six-man tag on the Countdown to Slammiversary for TNA.
Titus Alexander has been wrestling since 2018, is 25 years old from Sacramento, and has the most experience of the known attendees. He has worked for GCW, West Coast Pro, and regularly for Pro Wrestling NOAH over the past three years.
J-Rod (Jessica Roden), 33, was trained by Rikishi and debuted four years ago and was part of the American Gladiators reboot this year. She is a former OCW and Juggalo Championship Wrestling women’s champion and has toured with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling.
Vaught, 30, has had nine amateur MMA fights and lost a Muay Thai fight earlier this year for Synergy FC. He began wrestling in 2019 for Harley Race’s World League Wrestling (WLW) and has worked enhancement matches on AEW programming in the past.
Conan Lycan is a trainee from the Black and Brave Academy and has been wrestling since 2018. He wrestled at Chicago Style Wrestling and dropped the group’s heavyweight title earlier this year. In the past, he wrestled on a pair of TNA Xplosion episodes against KUSHIDA and Alex Hammerstone.
Oxx Adams, 27, is regular for Beyond Wrestling and FLEX and just wrestled on the second PRODUCE card last week in a Magic Ticket Battle Royal. He is from Texarkana, Texas, and participated in Power Slap this past May, losing to Michael Back in Las Vegas. He is an Army veteran and was trained by Afa Jr.
Jean is a student of Booker T at the Reality of Wrestling Academy in Texas, debuting in 2023 and has had a handful of matches with Ring of Honor
