A high-stakes mask-versus-hair match looks to be on the way in CMLL.
Templario laid out the challenge on Tuesday night’s card, calling for an upcoming showdown against Ultimo Guerrero. Templario would be wagering his mask against Guerrero’s hair, a stipulation made after they faced off one-on-one last night.

The match, if made official, will be Templario’s second-ever time appearing in a match where he wagers his mask. He notably beat Dragon Rojo Jr. in a mask-versus-mask bout at the promotion’s 90th anniversary card in 2023.
Guerrero, who lost his mask in 2014 following a defeat to Atlantis, has wagered his hair five times over the years and not lost in any of the occasions. However, this upcoming matchup will be the first time he tries to unmask someone in over a decade.
Guerrero notably trained Templario prior to his 2009 in-ring debut.
An official date for the bout hasn’t been announced. When asked if he’d prefer the match take place as part of CMLL’s Anniversary card in September, Guerrero said he’s willing to have the bout on any given date.
