Malakai Black is set for his first match since his WWE release, with PROGRESS Wrestling confirming his opponent.

Black is scheduled for the group’s Odyssey tour next month, where he is set to wrestle on three shows. It will kick off on September 4 in Edinburgh, Scotland, against Donovan Dijak.

Black will continue the tour in England on September 5 in Leeds and September 6 in Manchester, with no opponents listed for those shows yet. PROGRESS has announced that Xelina (Zelina Vega) will be on the show in Manchester.

After leaving WWE for the first time in 2021 with his release, the performer spent four years wrestling for AEW. He returned to WWE last year following the expiration of his AEW deal but only lasted one year, with another release occurring this past April.

His 90-day no-compete clause from his WWE deal expired last month, and he is free to work for any company.

Black has a history of wrestling for PROGRESS Wrestling going back to 2013 when the promotion was in its infancy, and Black was performing as Tommy End.
