DAZN made a big push in commercial sports rights that involved WWE, UFC and Zuffa Boxing’s parent company.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, DAZN acquired EverPass Media. The company was founded by the NFL’s 32 Equity investment arm and RedBird Capital Partners, and TKO invested in EverPass in July 2024, and it holds the commercial rights to major sporting events like NFL Sunday Ticket and live sports from Peacock, Netflix, Paramount and Apple. The company is responsible for selling and providing the infrastructure to deliver those events to bars, hotels and other commercial venues.
As part of the deal, TKO, RedBird and the NFL will be minority shareholders in the combined company.
DAZN is a global streaming platform with an emphasizes in boxing in the United States. However, it has taken over local market streaming rights for the New York Knicks and Yankees. It also carries international rights for various leagues, including a multi-year deal with AEW that began in 2023.
