Shortly after AEW’s All In card wrapped up at Wembley Stadium, the promotion hosted a live post-show media scrum. The two-hour presser, which included appearances from many of the biggest names on Sunday’s pay-per-view show, streamed live on Youtube. You can catch the broadcast below:
Here are some quick notes from the broadcast.
Tony Khan was hush-hush about where All In will take place in 2027, but was able to at least confirm that he hopes to do another show at Wembley Stadium someday: “We will definitely bring AEW back to Wembley Stadium if they’ll have us again.”
When asked about the gate for the event by POST’s John Pollock, Khan said it should be somewhere around $6 million, and an attendance of “close to 50,000.” A final count from ticket estimator service WrestleTix calculated that AEW had distributed 47,000 seats for the event via Ticketmaster.
Khan said he didn’t “plan or budget” the New Level joining AEW prior to their release, but thought that the duo “fit what we do perfectly” and thus chose to go after signing them.
Newly crowned AEW World Champion Will Ospreay was in a reflective mood when he appeared at the presser. He discussed how hard the week has been, mentioning how much he felt All In was on him.
“I’ve put so much pressure on myself to get to this moment … I was so terrified of letting so many people down,” he said. In the end, Ospreay said this weekend was his love letter to British wrestling.
Ospreay got emotional when asked what his 16-year-old self would think when looking at how far he has come. “I’d be very happy,” Ospreay said, fighting back tears.
AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné confirmed during her scrum that she suffered a broken nose during her match with Willow Nightingale. She mentioned that stitches were required to close up the cut on the bridge of her nose, which was visible during the broadcast.
Moné reflected on All In 2023, when she was in attendance for AEW’s event at Wembley Stadium before officially signing with the company: “I knew when I was watching the show, I’m like, ‘I want to be here next year,'” she said.
Kofi and Austin Creed, the New Level, reflected on what it has been like to join the AEW roster.
“It feels amazing,” Kofi said. “It is completely surreal, and I’ve been saying this all day; it feels like a dream. This crazy dream, where all these people that I’ve seen from a different world, from afar, and now I get to see them up close … I get to see people from our past lives.”
TNT Champion Darby Allin discussed having Steven Borden be able to do a spot with his father, Sting, during his match against Kevin Knight tonight: “The fact that Sting and his son could have this moment at Wembley, on top of this ladder, I don’t even know if I could put into words, the fact that they could share that in front of everybody.”
Allin said that he wants to continue helping Borden as a wrestler: “Everything Sting gave me in my career, I want to give to Steven.”
Khan and Allin teased having a TNT Championship open challenge series, which could begin as soon as this Wednesday if he can be medically cleared in time.
