England’s own Brawling Birds opened All In’s main card with their first tag titles win.
Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor captured the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships on Sunday night, taking down Megan Bayne and Lena Kross of the Divine Dominion. Their victory opened Sunday night’s PPV broadcast from Wembley Stadium.
After Windsor took out Bayne with a hard German Suplex onto the ring apron, the Britons finished off Kross in the ring with their Two Birds, One Stone finisher for the pinfall victory in 11 minutes.
The team of former women’s world champ Hayter and current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Windsor first formed in February. Sunday was their first time challenging for AEW tag gold.
Divine Dominion’s reign as AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions comes to an end as the longest in the belt’s short lineage. They first captured the belts back in March as part of AEW’s Revolution pay-per-view, taking down inaugural champs the Babes of Wrath. They went on to defend the titles six more times, including on three different AEW pay-per-view broadcasts.
