Former WWE and TNA star EC3 revealed recently that he’s been hospitalized for a leg infection.

EC3 said on Sunday that a recent trip to the woods ended with a “souvenir” in the form of a leg infection. The ex-TNA World Champion said he’s unsure when he’ll be back, but he assured fans in a recent statement on social media that he’s “fine.”

A photo album was posted by EC3 to Instagram, showing him reading from a hospital bed and showing off a gnarly gash on his leg. Here’s what he wrote.

Went to a Gathering.
The woods gave me a souvenir.

Leg got infected. Hospital acquired.
Well, I tried to acquire it last week and they said no and I said you sure? Then they said yes and 5 days later I said still sure and they said naaa.

I’m fine.
Please spare anyone close to me the questions.
Specifically @noahiscookinn.

They don’t know when I’ll be back.
Neither do I.

Thank you for the well wishes in advances.
Send them through vibes and not texts please.

Until then, I’ll be scribbling manifestos, reading “books” and watching Nolan movies.

(anyone happens to know where a man can legally and ethically rewatch The Odyssey from my MacBook Pro, point me in the right direction. I’ve already paid to see it three times. I’ve contributed to cinema.)

While 43-year-old EC3 parted ways with the NWA earlier this year, the promotion which had become his home for the past few years, he has remained active in 2026. Along with a pair of appearances for TNA, EC3 has worked independent spots like Juggalo Championship Wrestling and Winnipeg-based CWE.
