Raja Jackson has been released from jail after serving a 90-day sentence for committing battery at an independent wrestling show last year.
Jackson, 26, was booked in L.A. County jail in July as part of his sentence, which included a payment of $81,000 in restitution following his plea of no contest to a felony battery charge. The news of his release from jail was first reported at PWinsider.com.
Jackson attacked wrestler Stuart Smith (“Syko Stu”) at a Knokx Pro Wrestling show in the summer of 2025, which was live-streamed on Kick. Jackson and Smith had an incident before the show where Stewart struck him with a beer can and assumed Jackson was a wrestler. After a heated exchange, tensions cooled, and they agreed to work a spot during the show. During the show, Jackson continued to live stream and was reading comments about the earlier incident. When he entered the ring, he slammed Stewart and proceeded to land over twenty strikes, resulting in Smith being hospitalized.
Stewart was left with a traumatic brain injury, a shattered maxilla, and required a bone graft procedure. However, when appearing in court, Smith said he held no ill will toward Jackson and acknowledged, “people can make terrible decisions in difficult moments.”
Jackson is the son of former MMA fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Raja had four amateur fights and made his pro debut in August 2023, losing by unanimous decision on a United Fight League card. He has not fought again.
