Former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed have hit free agency, per a recent report.
Fightful Select wrote on Friday that Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are “effectively free agents” as of today.
It was previously reported that their most recent AEW deals were scheduled to expire on October 1. No details have emerged regarding their plans to possibly re-sign or other destinations they have eyed.
The report noted that Caster and Bowens are still listed on AEW’s roster page, which tends to be an up-to-date reflection of who the company has under an ongoing deal.
Caster posted a screenshot of the definition of a free agent on Friday afternoon with the caption “Doing my own research.”
Caster and Bowens most notably worked as The Acclaimed, a duo which went on a run with the tag belts in 2023.
