Indi Hartwell is the new TNA Knockouts World Champion.

Hartwell captured the top TNA women’s title on Sunday night, dethroning Xia Brookside as part of the company’s Bound For Glory event in Tampa, Florida.

After an elbow drop off the top rope followed by her Hurts Donut finisher, Hartwell was able to secure the pinfall victory against Brookside at the 10-minute mark.

The match featured five-time Knockouts champ Mickie James as the special guest referee. Brookside got in the face of James at one point and was dropped with a slap from the TNA legend, causing a near fall to occur.

Brookside also neared a finish earlier in the match after scoring her Darkside finisher.

Brookside kicked off her first run with the Knockouts title back in June, dethroning former tag partner Lei Ying Lee as part of Slammiversary. She went on to defend the title five times before this weekend, including a win over Elayna Black as part of the company’s Lockdown pay-per-view in August.

Hartwell, who is in year two as a TNA wrestler, was challenging for the top Knockouts belt for the second time. Her previous title bid coincidentally occurred at last year’s Bound For Glory show, when she came up short against NXT talent Kelani Jordan.
