Jon Moxley’s return to an NJPW ring seems right around the corner.
The former AEW World Champion appeared via video package during Monday’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling card, providing a vague tease regarding his return to the company.

“The Death Riders ride East; Jon Moxley returns to New Japan Pro Wrestling,” he said in a video which aired shortly after Shingo Takagi won in a tag opener on Monday night.
Takagi, who recently faced Death Riders member Claudio Castagnoli, has been asking for a match against Moxley. To try and further send a message to him, his tag win on Monday emerged via Moxley’s Death Rider finisher.
After Moxley’s vague tease regarding a return, Takagi was quick to get on the microphone and once again insist that he would like to be an opponent to Moxley.
While Moxley has wrestled on the past three NJPW x AEW Forbidden Door cards, he hasn’t appeared on an NJPW show within Japan in over two years.
