Shotzi might not be leaving MLW programming soon, but her time as a contracted talent to the company has come to an end.
Questions regarding Shotzi’s future with MLW started to come out this week, as local reports showed that she worked a recent set of TNA Wrestling TV tapings. Shortly after that news came out, Fightful Select provided an update on the former WWE talent’s status.
Per Fightful, Shotzi recently finished up a six-month deal with MLW and is a free agent. She is reportedly still on “good terms” with the company and plans to continue appearing on dates for them through to 2027, but is available to sign elsewhere due to the end of her latest deal.
The report noted that TNA is expecting to sign Shotzi eventually.
MLW has been one of the main homes for Shotzi ever since she departed the WWE roster last year. She captured the company’s Middleweight Women’s Championship in February. Shotzi lost the title in September as part of an MLW Fusion episode that has yet to air.
Shotzi is the second women’s division name to reportedly exit a deal with MLW recently. It was reported last week that former AEW name Lady Frost had wrapped up with the company after a six-month stint.
