Rey Mysterio will appear at TripleMania XXXIII to induct Konnan into AAA’s Hall of Fame.

Mysterio announced the following on Tuesday:

It’s an honor for me to induct my brother @Konnan5150 into the Hall of Fame this August 16th at TripleMania!!

Konnan (Carlos Espada Moises), 61, began wrestling in 1988 and would wrestle for the UWA and EMLL (now CMLL) before leaving with Antonio Pena to launch Asistencia, Asesoría y Administración de Espectáculos (AAA).

In April 1993, Konnan headlined the first TripleMania with Cien Caras, with Konnan losing the match and being forced to retire, but returned several months later.

He was legitimately one of the biggest stars in the industry, but would shift his career to the United States, wrestling for ECW and later, WCW and TNA, ceasing his ties with AAA.

Eventually, he returned to AAA in 2004 and has been with the promotion consistently over the past seven years.

In 2023, Konnan inducted Rey Mysterio into the WWE Hall of Fame.
