Kris Statlander has toppled Toni Storm as AEW Women’s World Champion.
Statlander won the four-way match at AEW All Out by pinning the defending champion. The contest also featured former champion Jamie Hayter and Thekla.
The victory ended Storm’s record fourth reign with the championship at 217 days. Her reign began on February 15, 2025, when she defeated Mariah May at Grand Slam: Australia.
For Statlander, the championship marks a new peak in her career following a long return from injury. She was sidelined for nine months with a torn ACL suffered in August 2022 and returned to AEW in May 2023. Upon her return, she immediately captured the TBS Championship, a title she held for 174 days.
The match featured high-impact offense from all four competitors, including a series of dives to the floor and a sequence where Thekla delivered three consecutive superplexes.
The finish came after Jamie Hayter hit Storm with the Hayter-ade, but Thekla broke up the pin. Hayter and Thekla fought to the apron, where Thekla hit a spear that took both women to the floor. This allowed Statlander to surprise Storm with a seatbelt pin to secure the victory.
This is Statlander’s first reign with the AEW Women’s World Championship.
