John Laurinaitis among depositions in ongoing shareholder lawsuit

The discovery phase of the shareholder lawsuit against Vince McMahon and current/past WWE executives is ongoing.

Wrestlenomics reports that additional subpoenas have been filed, with several key depositions being conducted or scheduled to occur.

The shareholder suit was filed in November 2023 and has been consolidated in the Delaware Chancery Court. It alleges that the merger between WWE and UFC to form TKO was not conducted in good faith and that McMahon went with the entity that would retain a position for him.

The lawsuit lists Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and former WWE presidents George Barrios and Michelle Wilson as co-defendants.

Wrestlenomics notes that former executive John Laurinaitis, who is not a listed defendant, was deposed this past Friday over Zoom from his attorney’s office in Florida. Subpoenas have been issued to McMahon’s former personal assistants, Paul and Michael Mangieri, with the belief that depositions have been conducted with former board members Steve Pamon, Man Jit Singh, and Jeffrey Speed, and current TKO board member Steve Koonin.

Officials at Liberty Media and KKR are set to be deposed on September 30 and October 30, respectively.
