The widow of Terry Bollea denies that “street drugs” played a factor in his death this past summer.

Sky Daily, the widow of Bollea a.k.a. “Hulk Hogan”, tells TMZ that Ric Flair’s assertion in a recent podcast interview “didn’t happen at all.”

Flair was on the Double Coverage podcast and shared what he heard about Hogan’s death:

I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs.

When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe him anymore, he was in so much pain. He had that neck surgery that got infected, so back in the hospital. Imagine ten back surgeries, two knees, two hips, and then when the doctor wouldn’t prescribe him any more pain medicine, he just couldn’t do it in good conscience. So, they went and got the drugs off the street. His body just said, You know what, I can’t do it anymore.

Sad. What a great guy.

In the TMZ article, Daily states that Flair did not speak with Hogan the day before his death and that her husband was under constant care by the Morton Plant Hospital. The only changes to Hogan’s medication occurred after his neck surgery in May, so that his lungs would not be affected.

TMZ claims two other family sources shot down Flair’s story, as well, although the family is not upset with Flair, but he was misinformed.

Hogan died on July 24 at the age of 71, and the medical examiner ruled it was caused by a heart attack
