TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella has announced a Steel Cage match pitting Team TNA against Team NXT.

Marella posted a video on Saturday confirming the match would air in two weeks to settle the conflict between the promotions.

In the video, Marella stated:

You got my attention. Two weeks from today, we’re gonna settle this like real men. No more running around, no more hiding in the shadows, no more being bitches. We’re gonna settle this, Team TNA versus Team NXT, in a steel cage.

Marella noted he would call NXT General Manager Ava to finalize the teams this week. Mike Santana appeared at the end of the clip, saying, “You know what to do”.

TNA is currently advertising a Steel Cage match for Saturday’s television taping at the El Paso County Coliseum. This weekend’s shows serve as the final tapings before the promotion moves to AMC on January 15, 2025.

The announcement follows a chaotic scene at Friday’s Final Resolution event involving several NXT wrestlers. The show ended with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo punching Marella following a brawl that included The Hardys, Steve Maclin, and members of the No Quarter Catch Crew.

The invasion angle also saw NXT’s Lexis King threaten to light the ring on fire before the physical altercation closed the show.
