Jerry “The King” Lawler has been dealing with health struggles for years, with the latest setback leaving him colorblind.

The 76-year-old suffered a stroke at his Florida residence in September, his third since 2018. He called the incident a “minor stroke,” and mentioned that he had not been taking medication in the days prior to it happening.

In a recent interview with Memphis outlet Action News 5, Lawler said that he’s colorblind due to the September incident.

“You can’t know when you’re gonna have ’em, it’s just boom, you have it,” Lawler said about suffering a stroke. “I was in Florida by myself and woke up one morning and everything was messed up. I had to call Lauren [McBride] to come down from Memphis and to get me from the hospital and everything down there.”

When asked how he feels about his health nowadays, he said he usually feels like a six out of 10: “I’ll get up to seven and boop, somehow, I’ll go back to six.”

Lawler notably went into cardiac arrest during a 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw, the first of many notable health issues he has dealt with over the past decade and a half.

Despite his struggles, Lawler told Action News 5 that he hasn’t ruled out another match: “I’ve not put it out of my mind,” he said with a chuckle. “We have one more match in there somewhere.”
