Gold League: Kyle Fletcher vs. Jack Perry

The broadcast opened with a critical Gold League matchup where Kyle Fletcher ruthlessly targeted Jack Perry’s injured ankle. In a bid to inflict maximum damage, Fletcher removed Perry’s boot and sock, exposing the foot before stomping it against the steel steps. Perry attempted to fight back, at one point biting Fletcher’s nipple to escape a suplex attempt.

Fletcher later executed a brainbuster on the ramp. Inside the ring, Perry rallied with an avalanche sunset flip powerbomb and locked in the Snare Trap, but Fletcher managed to reach the ropes. Fletcher eventually secured the victory with a brainbuster in the ring, finishing the league with 9 points.

Blue League: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Máscara Dorada

Konosuke Takeshita completed an undefeated run in the Blue League against Máscara Dorada. Dorada utilized his agility to send Takeshita to the floor with a hurricanrana, following up with a moonsault to the outside.

Takeshita regained control after countering a top-rope maneuver into a lariat. He followed up with a running knee and the Raging Fire to secure the pinfall, finishing the tournament block with 13 points.

Blue League: Roderick Strong vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Prior to the match, Kyle O’Reilly gave Roderick Strong a pep talk backstage, telling his partner that the “Christmas miracle” would be seeing the “Roderick F’n Strong” in the mirror.

In the ring, Strong played spoiler to Claudio Castagnoli’s tournament hopes. Castagnoli dominated early, throwing Strong into the crowd in an attempt to win via count-out. However, Strong rallied and connected with a series of jumping knees—lowering his kneepad for the final strike—to score the upset victory. The loss left Castagnoli with 7 points, eliminating him from contention.

After the match, The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia) attacked Strong, but Mark Briscoe made the save with a kendo stick. When Marina Shafir confronted Briscoe, Toni Storm ran in and struck Shafir with a fist wrapped in a pearl necklace.

FTR vs. Bang Bang Gang Update

Following a video package recapping the rivalry, Stokely Hathaway accepted the challenge from the Bang Bang Gang on behalf of FTR. Hathaway confirmed that FTR would meet Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson in a Chicago Street Fight at Worlds End, adding that the champions “will not be held liable” for their actions.

Gold League: Kevin Knight vs. PAC

PAC and Kevin Knight wrestled to a twenty-minute time-limit draw in a hard-hitting Gold League encounter. Knight showcased his athleticism with a springboard clothesline to the outside and a coast-to-coast dropkick inside the ring. PAC responded with a German suplex on the floor and an avalanche belly-to-belly suplex.

In the final minute, PAC locked in the Brutalizer. Knight refused to tap out, surviving until the time limit expired. The result left both men with 7 points, eliminating them from the tournament.

Darby Allin and Gabe Kidd

Gabe Kidd addressed the audience from the crowd, mocking Darby Allin following his attack on Dynamite and questioning if Allin could answer his challenge for Worlds End while in the ICU.

The lights went out and Allin appeared in the ring wielding a baseball bat. Allin chased Kidd from the ringside area and officially accepted the challenge for the pay-per-view.

The Babes of Wrath vs. Hyan & Maya World

AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron defeated Hyan and Maya World in a non-title match. The champions utilized a Sole Food and neckbreaker combination to secure the win.

After the match, Nightingale and Cameron delivered a Christmas-themed message, stating their wish for peace on earth, except in Chicago, where they promised to defeat Mercedes Moné and Athena.

Blue League: Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy

In a match to decide the second spot in the Blue League, Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy engaged in a physical brawl that spilled to the outside, where Cassidy put Moxley through a table with a DDT.

Cassidy targeted Moxley’s injured leg throughout the match. He connected with multiple Orange Punches and a Beach Break, but could not keep Moxley down. In the closing moments, Cassidy applied an ankle lock, but Moxley countered the hold into a small package to score the pinfall and advance to the semi-finals.

Gold League: Kazuchika Okada vs. Mike Bailey

The main event saw Kazuchika Okada face Mike Bailey with tournament implications on the line. Bailey utilized his aerial offense early, hitting a moonsault knees variation on the ramp. Okada responded by dropkicking Bailey off the top rope to the floor.

Okada withstood a flurry of offense from Bailey, including an Ultima Weapon attempt. Bailey blocked a Rainmaker and attempted a unique pinning combination, but Okada countered into a sit-down pin to win the match.

Following the match, Blue League winner Konosuke Takeshita entered the ring to stare down Okada. The two will meet in the semi-finals at Worlds End, while Kyle Fletcher will face Jon Moxley.
