Ortiz made his first AEW appearance since January 2024 to save Eddie Kingston from a post-match beatdown during the Worlds End: Zero Hour pre-show.

Quick results

  • Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue) def. Hyan & Maya World
  • Eddie Kingston def. Zack Gibson
  • Máscara Dorada & Bandido def. Rocky Romero & Mark Davis
  • JetSpeed (Speedball Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) & Jurassic Express (Jungle Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) def. Josh Alexander & The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun)

Sisters of Sin vs. Hyan & Maya World

The broadcast opened with the Sisters of Sin defeating Hyan and Maya World. The match concluded when Skye Blue pinned Hyan following an assisted spinning slam delivered in tandem with Julia Hart. Earlier in the match, World connected with a rolling cazadora double stomp for a near fall before the Sisters of Sin isolated Hyan.

Eddie Kingston vs. Zack Gibson

Eddie Kingston defeated Zack Gibson in a physical contest that saw interference from James Drake. Gibson secured a near fall with a lungblower and utilized his scarf to choke Kingston while the referee was distracted. Kingston rallied to win the match with a DDT after a series of palm strikes.

Following the bell, Drake and Gibson attacked Kingston, choking him with the scarf until Ortiz’s music played. Ortiz, who had not appeared on AEW television since January 2024, entered the ring with a loaded sock to drive the Grizzled Young Veterans away.

Mascara Dorada & Bandido vs. Rocky Romero & Mark Davis

Bandido and Mascara Dorada defeated Rocky Romero and Mark Davis in a match highlighted by high-flying offense. The finish saw Bandido pin Romero after executing a 21-Plex, while Dorada eliminated Davis with a dive to the outside. Commentary noted the potential for Bandido and Dorada to continue as a regular tag team.

Following the match, a vignette aired announcing that “El Clon” will debut on Collision in January 2026.

JetSpeed & Jurassic Express vs. The Demand & Josh Alexander

The main event of the pre-show began as a handicap match after The Demand attacked Jurassic Express on the ramp. Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona carried Luchasaurus to the back, leaving Jack Perry, Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight to face the four opponents alone.

Luchasaurus returned late in the match with a bandaged shoulder, delivering chokeslams to Ricochet and Alexander. Perry capitalized on the momentum, hitting Ricochet with a running knee to secure the pinfall victory for his team.
