Darby Allin defeated Gabe Kidd in a bloody singles match at AEW Worlds End.

Before the match, a pre-produced video package aired before Kidd entered through the crowd in the style of the Death Riders faction.

The violence escalated quickly when Kidd catapulted Allin into the steel steps, after which Allin emerged bleeding.

Allin retaliated by dropkicking a chair into Kidd’s face, which resulted in Kidd bleeding profusely as well. Allin followed this with a missile dropkick to Kidd, who was seated on a chair at ringside.

High-risk maneuvers defined the latter stages, including Allin executing a Coffin Drop to the floor and an Avalanche Code Red for a near-fall. Allin briefly applied a Scorpion Death Lock, but the hold was broken when he slumped forward due to exhaustion.

The finish came after Kidd connected with a jumping piledriver and attempted to lock in a sleeper hold. Allin kicked off the turnbuckles to counter the submission into a pinfall, securing the three-count.

Commentator Nigel McGuinness remarked that Allin “survived” the match rather than winning it, as officials helped Allin up the ramp while a furious Kidd looked on.
