AEW upcoming lineups: Darby Allin vs. Wheeler Yuta booked for Collision, ‘Lights Out’ match set for Dynamite

A flurry of match announcements was made during last night’s New Year’s Eve edition of AEW Dynamite.

Four different matchups are now confirmed for this weekend’s episode of Collision, and a pair of high-profile bouts are scheduled for next week’s edition of Dynamite.

Darby Allin meets Death Rider Wheeler Yuta on Collision

Darby Allin’s relentless quest to take down the Death Riders will continue this weekend when Collision takes place at the Esports Arena in Arlington, Texas, although not against whom he wanted to face next.

Allin called for a rematch against PAC this week, saying that the only way to “finish what I started” is to beat him. But Wheeler Yuta made it clear in backstage comments that Allin will have to fight his way to that opportunity, quipping: “If you want to get to PAC, you have to go through me.”

It was also confirmed that El Clon, the heel counterpart to Hologram, will make his in-ring debut on Collision. Clon attacked Hologram late last year and aligned himself with the Don Callis Family. He has yet to face off against Hologram, who is currently out of action due to injury.

In their first appearance since it was announced that they had officially signed with AEW, Hyan and Maya World will take on the Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa). This is a return to the women’s tag division for Storm after a pair of mixed tag appearances alongside The Conglomeration over the past week.

Also, in a tune-up before a much bigger matchup on Dynamite next week, Shelton Benjamin will face off against Scorpio Sky.

Hangman, Strickland to team up on Dynamite

Two matchups have been confirmed for next week’s episode of Dynamite from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The action will be called by Jim Ross, who will be returning to the broadcast for the first time since Forbidden Door back in August.

World title contenders Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland will team up and try to take out Samoa Joe allies Hook and Powerhouse Hobbs in a “Lights Out” tag bout. The unsanctioned matchup was made by former champ Joe, who wants to take down his rivals with the help of The Opps.

New AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley will go head-to-head with The Hurt Syndicate’s Shelton Benjamin on next week’s Dynamite.

Moxley overcame Josh Alexander in a 15-minute title eliminator bout last night, appearing for the first time since winning the 2025 Continental Classic. Benjamin made it clear afterward that he is also interested in a title shot, appearing on-stage during Moxley’s post-match celebration. Moxley was game to face Benjamin, saying in a promo afterward that he’s not hard to find.
