Multiple reports state that Leon Slater was removed from Thursday’s Impact premiere on AMC due to a legitimate visa issue.

Slater was advertised to defend the X Division Championship against Myron Reed, but TNA stopped advertising the match earlier this week. On Thursday’s episode, Santino Marella stated it was due to a visa issue and would force Slater to miss Genesis this Saturday, as well.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that the visa issue affecting Slater was legitimate and not a case of WWE pulling the talent to appear on Friday Night SmackDown in London, England.

Due to the visa issue, it’s stated that it opened the door for Slater to appear on Friday’s episode and wrestle Carmelo Hayes for the U.S. Championship.

Joe Hendry will be replacing Slater in a three-way match with Cedric Alexander and Moose at Genesis on Saturday in Garland, Texas.

It was also announced on Impact that Dani Luna had a visa issue and would miss Genesis, with Zaria replacing the TNA performer to challenge Lei Ying Lee for the TNA Knockouts Championship.
