The viewership figures for TNA’s Thursday Night Impact debut on AMC are out.
The January 15 debut on the network averaged 173,000 viewers and 0.04 in the 18-49 demographic, per PW Torch.
Impact Wrestling’s viewership on AXS TV stopped being public in early 2024, and therefore, we don’t have a direct comparison to how the show was performing over the past two years on the network. However, in December 2023, Impact averaged 83,000 viewers and 0.01 in the key demographic.
Its cable competition included Gutfeld on Fox News, an NHL game on ESPN, and Impractical Jokers on TBS, which were the top three cable programs on Thursday.
It is estimated that AMC is available in approximately 60 million homes in the U.S., which was the number it shared one year ago, and has far superior reach compared with AXS TV.
The show aired live from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, and included an advertised appearance by AJ Styles and a TNA World Heavyweight title match between Frankie Kazarian and Mike Santana.
Thursday Night Impact will stage another live show this week from the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
