You could’ve heard a pin drop inside EDION Arena Osaka.
11 minutes into the main event of STARDOM’s Supreme Fight card, World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani suffered what looked like a gruesome hand injury, with her right middle finger going out of place after taking a hard fall (We’re not going to show you the image, but you can see for yourself on social media). The injury caused the match to suddenly halt, with fans watching in silence as ringside physicians assessed Kamitani.
As doctors assessed Kamitani for over a minute, it seemed unclear if the highly anticipated title match would continue. But then, after she had tape applied to two of her fingers, the 2025 Tokyo Sports MVP award winner shot back up to her feet and continued in what would become a stellar performance overall.
Kamitani successfully defended her World of STARDOM title against Starlight Kid on Saturday, closing out a dominant three-title match sweep for the heel HATE faction.
Starlight Kid took a significant beating to start the match, getting tossed into numerous rows of seats by Kamitani. When a referee wasn’t looking, Kamitani allies unleashed a whip to the challenger’s midsection.
Starlight Kid started to mount a comeback right before the injury, and her momentum continued right after the bout resumed. She kept the pressure on a hurt Kamitani, slamming her onto the ring apron just moments after the doctor’s intervention.
The match continued to be a back-and-forth affair as it passed 20 minutes: Kamitani applied a submission as she started to rip Starlight Kid’s mask. Kid unleashed a flurry of hard ground and pound forearms and headbutts, leaving them both laid out by the end of it.
After trading punches in what felt like a Don Fyre-Yoshihiro Takayama tribute spot, the match went into its final stretch. Starlight Kid was able to score a powerbomb off the top rope and then a German Suplex bridged into a pin attempt, then a Star Suplex, but it wasn’t enough to put Kamitani away.
What looked like a Spanish Fly attempt out of the corner from Starlight Kid was reversed by Kamitani into a Star Crusher off the middle rope for a near fall of her own. The champ lifted up Starlight Kid for a second Star Crusher to finally end the bout at the 30-minute mark.
Saturday continued what has been a massive run for Kamitani over the past year. She spent all of 2025 as STARDOM’s top name, ending Tam Nakano’s career and defending her belt eight times along the way.
After facing Syuri as part of NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom card last month, Kamitani announced a one-month absence from action, with Saturday’s show being her set return date. While Kamitani returned earlier than expected, stepping back into the ring just 20 days after her break started, this weekend was her first title appearance since coming back.
A post-match angle saw Sayaka Kurara step into the ring and challenge Kamitani. If confirmed, it will be the second rematch of Kamitani’s reign, following up on a 22-minute bout from May 2025.
Konami retains title against Ami Sohrei, takes challenge from Hina
Konami submitted Ami Sohrei in the co-main event of the night, retaining her Wonder of STARDOM title in the process. While Sohrei had success partway through the match, interference at ringside from Konami allies, including a mist to the face, set her back. Despite surviving a flurry of card kicks from Konami, Sohrei finally gave up after getting put in a sleeper hold.
Sohrei was aiming to capture her first-ever major STARDOM singles belt. While she has achieved success in tag groups with MIRAI and Syuri in the past, her sole one-on-one title was a run with the Future of STARDOM title from 2022 to 2023.
Konami has prevailed in a series of big performances since taking the title off Starlight Kid in November. She previously went 20 minutes with Saya Iida and Rina in recent months to retain the title.
Her next challenger was set in the post-match, as Sohrei ally, Hina, stepped up for the challenge. The bout will be a rematch from last year’s 5-Star Grand Prix, when Hina pulled off an upset seven-minute victory.
Natsuko Tora & Ruaka cheat their way to tag title win
The Goddesses of STARDOM Championships remained in the hands of the heel HATE faction this weekend.
Using sneaky cheating tactics, the duo of Natsuko Tora and Ruaka turned back Bea Priestley and Hanan in a 15-minute match to successfully defend their tag titles.
While an impressive Blockbuster Suplex from Hanan looked like it could’ve been the end against Tora, Ruaka broke up the hold by sliding the group’s black box into the ring. With Ruaka distracting the referee, Tora took Priestly out with a mist spray to the face. Stuck in a two-on-one position, Hanan was put away with a massive Swanton Bomb from Tora for the pinfall result.
The matchup offered Hanan a chance to regain the belts she dropped to the duo back in July 2025, when she was teaming with Saya Iida. Instead, the near 200-day reign of the heel tag group continued beyond its fifth defence, carrying on what has become the eighth-longest run in the belt’s history.
Undercard results: Mi Vida Loca wins in lengthy gauntlet, Maki Itoh scores first STARDOM singles win
Mi Vida Loca overcame the E neXus V faction in a lengthy 38-minute gauntlet match on Saturday, winning despite having the numbers disadvantage in the four-on-five bout. After prominent talents Suzu Suzuki and Maika fought to a time limit draw, the bout came down to up-and-comer Akira Kurogane, who tapped out Rian for the victory.
Maki Itoh prevailed in her first singles matchup since joining STARDOM last month, overcoming Aya Sakura in a 12-minute battle for her made-up Cutest of the Cute Championship. While the bout started with a flavor of comedy, it turned into a hard-hitting affair which saw the ex-TJPW star earn the submission win with the Itoh Deluxe.
Saki Kashima, who is now just a couple of months away from her retirement, lost to rival Syuri in a seven-minute contest on Saturday. The two have faced off six times since 2021, including as part of an Osaka-Jo Hall card back in 2021.
Momo Kohgo signalled a future shot at the High-Speed Championship after scoring the pin on defending titleholder Yuna Mizumori as part of a five-way pre-show bout.
