New York Giants star Cam Skattebo could lace up his wrestling boots in the future.
The 24-year-old made an on-screen appearance on the Nov. 17 edition of Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden. Alongside comedian Andrew Schultz, Skattebo went face-to-face with the Judgment Day, causing a brief shoving match between the two groups. TMZ Sports asked the NFL rookie about the moment and whether or not he sees himself wrestling in WWE one day.
“There’s a chance,” Skattebo said. “I mean, I feel like I’m a pretty good actor. There’s a chance there. There’s a chance on the stream. There’s a bunch of chances I feel like I can do something outside of football when I’m done playing. I’m not too sure where I’m going to go with that, but WWE is definitely an option.”
Skattebo defended his WWE appearance after he received criticism around the NFL because, at the time, he was on the injured list for a dislocated ankle. The star running back is a big WWE fan and has streamed himself playing WWE games, which he cited as his background into wrestling.
“Just growing up watching it and I had an older brother that was bigger than me,” Skattebo said. “His reach was always longer so I never was able to punch him. It was just wrestling the whole time.
Skattebo also discussed his focus for his second year in the NFL, but his brief time in WWE might not be his last.
