Nikki Bella on Cooper DeJean chants on Raw: “When you have a crowd chanting something, you need to acknowledge”

Nikki Bella addressed last week’s segment on Raw, where the audience in Philadelphia led to acknowledging her ties with an NFL player.

On The Nikki & Brie Show, the twins spoke about the segment from last Monday. Brie picked up on the chants of “Coop” (not boos) referring to Eagles’ player Cooper DeJean, who Nikki has been linked to.

Brie: Can I just say? The beginning of when we walked out there. Clear as day, they were saying ‘Coop’.

Nikki: I’ve only been off TV before the Rumble; it’s been three Mondays. I’m in my heel run, and I love being in my heel run, and as you know, we have to prepare ourselves, like we have to have a certain mindset before we go out, and I always put myself in a ‘heel mode’ mindset, it’s just how I work, it makes sense. So, when I went out there to me, it makes sense, like I’m getting booed, right? You’re just reacting to what is organically happening, so what I said about the (Philadelphia) Eagles, I just assumed they knew I was a diehard Eagles fan, so they’re just booing that they’re not in the Super Bowl.

During the conversation, Nikki revealed what she’s been trained to do when crowds begin chanting something organically.

Brie: None of that was scripted

Nikki: None of it. You just don’t know what to say in the moment. All I know and what we’re taught, at times, when you have a crowd chanting something, you need to acknowledge, because then we move on, and I don’t know if that was the best way to acknowledge the crowd.

Brie: I would say you added fuel to the fire

Nikki has denied being in a relationship with DeJean, stating they are good friends.
