Kyle Fletcher held onto the TNT Championship in a violent and bloody ladder match with Mark Briscoe.

The seventh and deciding match between the two came down to a ladder match at Grand Slam Australia and saw the audience rally behind their countryman as Fletcher was a complete babyface and played it up.

The match saw both men bleed profusely from ladder strikes, first when Briscoe took a lawn dart to one, and later, using a ladder to open the champion.

The match had many risky spots, from Briscoe being tossed off a ladder and landing on the edge of the apron, a Froggy Bow to Fletcher on top of a ladder bridge, a last ride powerbomb to Briscoe to snap a ladder, and a Jay Driller on top of another ladder bridge.

The two scaled their respective ladders and ended when Fletcher tipped Briscoe’s structure and grabbed the belt for a monstrous pop from the Sydney crowd as he won the series and retained the belt.

It was Fletcher’s first defense of this current reign with the TNT title after regaining the title from Tommaso Ciampa this past Wednesday in Ontario, California.
