AEW World Champion MJF will head to New York promotion House of Glory this weekend for a high-stakes matchup.

MJF will wager his AEW title in a one-on-one showdown against Zilla Fatu, he announced in a social media promo on Sunday night. His appearance will take place as part of the company’s No Turning Back card, which will take place at the Amazura in New York.

In comments posted to House of Glory’s X page, MJF said that he will beat Fatu in a title match to prove that he’s a “nepo baby.”

“When this match is over, you’ll be done getting on your hands and knees and praying to the Tribal Chief, and you’re gonna have to start praying to Big Hebrew, a man who’s more talented than your whole family tree will ever be,” he said.

The appearance will be MJF’s second indy booking since regaining the AEW World Championship late last year. He also appeared at Limitless Wrestling’s “Limitless Rumble” card in Maine last month, going 23 minutes against Alec Price, who signed onto the AEW roster shortly after the match.

MJF is coming off a successful showing in Australia last weekend against Brody King, defending his title in a 21-minute bout. His next big challenge will be Hangman Adam Page, who earned a title shot against him at AEW’s March 15 Revolution pay-per-view by winning a #1 contenders match in Australia.
