The worlds of on-screen acting and professional wrestling are set to merge for Paul Walter Hauser.
The award-winning actor said in a recent interview that he’s expected to portray legendary wrestler Mick Foley as part of a limited biopic series. Hauser revealed the plans during a recent interview with The Stunner.
“We can kind of break that news: I haven’t said it yet, but I’m attached to play Mick in a limited series,” Hauser said earlier this month. “We haven’t gone out to market with it yet, but I’m attached. It’s happening.”
Hauser mentioned last year that he had been approached for a role to play Foley, but it wasn’t confirmed at the time whether he would take the role. With how little information was given regarding the series, it seems we’re likely still quite some time out from when it would actually release.
While Hauser is an accomplished actor, he has become closely intertwined with professional wrestling in recent years. He has amassed over two dozen matches since 2023, including an appearance earlier this month at Orange Crush’s Superpower Slam fundraiser in New York. Hauser went 20 minutes with QT Marshall last year as part of ROH’s Death Before Dishonor card in the famous 2300 Arena.
He also holds an executive producer role in MLW.
