Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match on Saturday night to open the latest WWE PLE.

The victory at the United Center in Chicago ensures Ripley will challenge WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42.

The match began with Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James, before Asuka and Alexa Bliss entered the fray. Asuka sprayed green mist into the face of Bliss, allowing James to secure a pinfall and score the first elimination.

Raquel Rodriguez entered last and quickly dominated the remaining competitors. She executed a running powerslam that drove James through a plexiglass pod. Rodriguez then delivered a Tejana Bomb to Asuka onto James, pinning both women simultaneously to eliminate them.

The final three participants were Ripley, Stratton, and Rodriguez. Ripley launched herself from the roof of a pod to hit Rodriguez with a cannonball. Stratton immediately followed with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to pin and eliminate Rodriguez.

Ripley and Stratton traded near falls in the closing sequence. Stratton climbed the ropes to attempt another Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Ripley pushed Stratton off the top rope and into a pod, before hitting the Riptide to secure the pinfall victory.

Elimination order

  • Alexa Bliss was pinned by Kiana James.
  • Asuka and Kiana James were pinned simultaneously by Raquel Rodriguez.
  • Raquel Rodriguez was pinned by Tiffany Stratton.
  • Tiffany Stratton was pinned by Rhea Ripley.

Cargill watched the match from a luxury suite and held up her championship belt following the conclusion.
