Blake Monroe defeated Jaida Parker in a street fight to win the opening match of NXT Vengeance Day.
The event took place on Saturday night at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
The encounter concluded with the use of loose “diamonds”. Monroe emptied a bag of the stones onto the ring canvas before throwing a handful into Parker’s eyes. She then executed a hurricanrana from the top rope and hit the Glamour Shot DDT onto the diamonds to secure the pinfall victory.

Both competitors utilized a variety of weapons throughout the match. Parker gained a significant advantage late in the match when she attacked her opponent with a steel chair.
She subsequently positioned Monroe on a table at ringside and drove her through it with a seated senton. Returning to the ring, Parker successfully executed her Hipnotic maneuver, but Monroe managed to kick out of the resulting cover.
Earlier, the action quickly spilled to the arena floor where Parker missed a hip attack and collided heavily with the steel steps.
Monroe capitalized on this error by trapping Parker in a Tree of Woe to deliver a chair-assisted strike. Furthermore, the victor wrapped a string of pearls around her fist to punch Parker in the face. She also employed an umbrella and kendo sticks to maintain control at various points.
