Tatum Paxley defeated Izzi Dame to win the NXT Women’s North American Championship at Vengeance Day.

Paxley secured the victory after executing her Cemetery Drive finishing maneuver. The pinfall occurred following an interaction with Dame’s stablemate, Shawn Spears, at ringside. The new champion capitalized after Dame accidentally struck Spears with a forearm.

The match featured significant back-and-forth action. Early in the contest, Paxley applied a sleeper hold before the fight moved to the floor. Dame gained control by driving Paxley into the steel ring steps and dropping her onto the ring apron.

Both competitors utilized submission holds during the bout. Dame applied an abdominal stretch, which Paxley countered into one of her own. Later, Dame secured a Boston Crab and transitioned it into a Liontamer. Paxley escaped and locked in her own Boston Crab, forcing Dame to reach the ropes to break the hold.

Late in the match, Paxley executed a sunset flip powerbomb, driving Dame from the ring apron to the floor. Paxley then rolled the champion back into the ring but was distracted by Spears and Niko Vance. Paxley narrowly beat the referee’s count to re-enter the ring, where Dame immediately hit her with a spinebuster for a near-fall.

The finish came shortly after Dame inadvertently knocked Spears off the ring apron. Paxley delivered the Cemetery Drive to secure the pinfall and the championship.

The victory marks Paxley’s first reign as NXT Women’s North American Champion.
