The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation will lean on advice from UFC fighters this weekend for a two-day training seminar.
UFC announced recently that a select group of MMA fighters will travel to the FBI Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia, this weekend to host a seminar for both academy students and senior FBI staff.
A press release said that the MMA talents will “provide insight into how they train for competition, as well as demonstrate specific techniques and tactics.”
The announcement underscores UFC’s continued close relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration.
The top MMA company gave Trump a major spotlight during his 2024 U.S. election campaign, appearing at numerous events.
In the biggest sign of the promotion’s ties to the government, UFC plans to host its “Freedom Fights 250” event on the White House lawn, an event that will take place on June 14, Trump’s 80th birthday.
FBI Director Kash Patel has long wanted to collaborate with the UFC. He first floated the idea of bringing in MMA experts to train agents back in February 2025, shortly after getting brought into his current role.
