WWE announced that “Sycho” Sid Eudy will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a legacy inductee during WrestleMania weekend next month.

Along with a formal announcement, Paul Levesque also posted on social media about Sid’s WWE Hall of Fame induction.

No matter which moniker you knew him by, Sid’s intensity was palpable across the ring and through your TV screen. A multi-time champion in @WWE and WCW, and a two-time #WrestleMania main event, it’s a pleasure to announce that he will take his rightful place in the 2026 Legacy Class of the #WWEHOF.

Sid debuted in Continental Championship Wrestling in 1987 under the masked persona Lord Humongous. He wrestled in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 1989, where he challenged Tatsumi Fujinami for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship under the name Vicious Warrior. He adopted the Sid Vicious name during a brief stint in World Class Championship Wrestling and took that name to WCW, teaming with Danny Spivey and Teddy Long as part of The Skyscrapers.

Sid became a huge star from then on throughout the ’90s, wrestling for both WCW and the then WWF, where he adopted the “Sycho Sid” name. He was a two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and two-time WWE Champion.

An injury in 2001 cut his full-time career short, and he would make brief appearances in the independent scene before returning to WWE in 2012.

Sid died of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2024 at 63. He will posthumously join AJ Styles, Stephanie McMahon, Bill Eadie, and Barry Darsow of Demolition and Dennis Rodman in this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class.
