Women’s tag gold will be on the line this weekend in Cedar Rapids.
The rematch between AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions The Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) and the Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) will go down as part of a live episode of AEW Collision this Saturday at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the promotion announced recently.
The Divine Dominion ended Nightingale and Cameron’s reign as the inaugural tag champs at Revolution. They entered the match in Los Angeles with an advantage, having attacked Nightingale earlier in the show.
Bayne and Kross accepted the challenge for a rematch on Wednesday’s Dynamite, but warned that the result would be the same.
It was also confirmed that Ace Austin and ex-TNT champ Tommaso Ciampa will face off as part of Saturday’s show. Commentary explained that the singles bout stems from the 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royal at Revolution, where these two had an exchange.
Looking ahead to next week, two segments have been confirmed for Wednesday’s Dynamite in Winnipeg.
Before he meets Death Riders leader Jon Moxley at Dynasty, Will Ospreay will take on PAC as part of next week’s show. Ospreay declared this week that he’ll “handle” anyone who still associates with Moxley. It seems the first one to step up to the challenge is PAC, who will be coming back after a month away from in-ring action.
Next week’s Dynamite will also include a contract signing between Dynasty headliners Kenny Omega and MJF, with a special no physicality rule in place.
