WWE’s second co-promoted comedy show alongside Tony Hinchcliffe will be available to watch on Netflix just a couple of days after the event takes place, Variety reported Thursday.
Kill Tony, a live podcast hosted by Hinchcliffe, sees amateur stand-up comedians appear on stage and try to impress a cast of judges. More than 700 episodes have aired since 2013, including some on the Netflix platform.
A WWE edition of the show will take place as part of next month’s Wrestlemania programming in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event, Kill Tony: Wrestlemania, is expected to take place at the Dolby Live theater on Saturday night following the first of two Wrestlemania cards.
The event will be available to stream on Netflix by April 20, the Monday after Wrestlemania wraps up.
Variety’s report teased that the show will include “current WWE superstars and WWE legends, well-known comedians and surprise guests.”
Hinchclifee notably hosted “The Roast of Wrestlemania” last year in Vegas, an event which didn’t get broadcast anywhere. Leaked audio of the roast later surfaced online.
WWE planned to follow up with another event during Summerslam weekend in New Jersey titled “Late Night featuring Tony Hinchcliffe,” although the show was later cancelled.
