New Japan Pro Wrestling will host multiple title matches during the lead-up to Wrestling Dontaku next month.
The promotion released its lineups for the next month, including defenses of the IWGP tag and junior heavyweight tag titles, and Tiger Mask going for DOUKI’s title.
The tour kicks off on April 19 with back-to-back nights in Korakuen Hall. The April 20 show is headlined by a No. 1 contender’s match with Bishamon facing HENARE & Great O-Khan to determine who will challenge the Knockout Brothers at Wrestling Red Zone on April 25. Both teams confronted the champions at Sakura Genesis and issued challenges.
Road to Dontaku on April 24 is Yuya Uemura’s “homecoming” in Ehime and will team with Boltin Oleg & Aaron Wolf against Don Fale, Ren Narita & Yujiro in the main event.
Wrestling Red Zone is on April 25 at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall

Tiger Mask will receive his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship match on April 29 at Wrestling Hizen no Kuni in Saga. It will be the first time Tiger Mask has challenged for the belt since 2010, and it occurs just over two months before his retirement on July 7. Místico will team with Aaron Wolf & Boltin Oleg against Don Fale, Ren Narita & Dick Togo on the same show.
The Road to shows head to Kumamoto on April 30 and Kagoshima on May 1 before Wrestling Dontaku on May 4 & 5.
