TNA’s social campaign revealed that EC3 (Michael Hutter) will return at its Rebellion pay-per-view this weekend in Cleveland, Ohio.
The former TNA champion was the focus of multiple videos teasing an announcement, which was revealed on Friday. A chest was opened, containing EC3’s gear and a post by the performer to promote his return.
Threezus 2:37 –
And the Ark was opened before the congregation.
And The Top 1% was inside. And it had not changed.
Had not diminished.
Had not apologized for its existence. And the people saw.
And Rebellion was no longer just a name. It was a warning. https://t.co/bkJ3tjw6d6— EC3 // The Top 1% // (@therealec3) April 10, 2026
Hutter worked as Derrick Bateman in WWE’s developmental system with Florida Championship Wrestling and was part of the earlier incarnation of NXT.
He joined TNA in 2013 and was introduced as the nephew of then-owner Dixie Carter, and would become a main event player in the company. He became a two-time TNA champion and wrestled in the promotion until 2018 and returned to WWE.
Hutter spent a year in NXT and was drafted to Raw in 2019 for an unspectacular run, ending with his release during the early stage of the pandemic.
Since leaving WWE, he tried to launch his own group called ‘Control Your Narrative’ and has been wrestling for the NWA since 2022.
