Shane Haste is back in NOAH.
The former WWE and NJPW talent returned on Sunday night, confronting GHC Heavyweight Champion Yoshiki Inamura following his main event win in Nagoya, Japan.
Inamura called for his next matchup to come against someone who has WWE experience, a call-out which caused Haste to hit the ring.

“I have the WWE experience, I have the Pro Wrestling NOAH experience, and I have come back to take your belt,” Haste said.
“I would love to fight you for this title,” Inamura replied.
Haste was a notable figure in NOAH during the early 2010s, working alongside Mikey Nicholls in TMDK. They went on two separate reigns with the GHC Tag Team Championships during their reign, including a campaign that lasted over 200 days.
Haste spent years on the NJPW roster, mainly working alongside Nicholls. The duo has mainly been freelancing over the past year, including frequent appearances in ROH as of late.
It’s been over a decade since Haste last appeared in NOAH. His last match in the company dated back to March 2016, just weeks before he and Nicholls signed onto the NXT roster.
Haste came out donning a White Raven Squad t-shirt, making it clear that he has joined KENTA’s newly-formed faction.
Inamura went a lengthy 22 minutes before taking down Alpha Wolf in Sunday’s main event to retain the GHC Heavyweight Championship. Inamura has been on a dominant and active reign since November, having defended his belt six times in total. He has become a Team 2000X slayer of sorts, taking down four of the faction’s prominent names this year, including OZAWA, Takashi Sugiura, and Masa Kitamiya.
Alpha Wolf, who joined Team 2000X when he betrayed his brother Dragon Bane earlier this year, was looking to become a double champ. He currently holds the GHC National Championship, one of the brand’s less prominent titles.
A major match was confirmed earlier in the night when Dragon Bane called for a bout against defending GHC Jr. champ AMAKUSA. Hot off a fast-paced sprint junior tag title win alongside Alejandro against Kid Lykos I and II, Bane respectfully requested a singles opportunity against AMAKUSA, who has held the top junior title since the brand’s New Year’s Day card.
AMAKUSA accepted the challenge and threw out the idea of facing off as part of a May 2 card, NOAH’s next major trip to Ryogoku Kokugikan.
