Gabe Kidd is out of action and will miss New Japan’s Wrestling Dontaku show next month.

Kidd was injured during Sunday’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view during a Trios titles match with Clark Connors & David Finlay against Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly.

Kidd injured his shoulder and disappeared midway through the match, which ended with the Dogs losing the belts. Tony Khan stated at the press conference that Kidd was out “indefinitely”.

NJPW confirmed that Kidd is off the May 3 Wrestling Dontaku card in Fukuoka, where he was set to challenge IWGP Global Heavyweight champion Yota Tsuji in the main event. Tsuji will still defend the title with an announcement of his opponent to come.

Wrestling Dontaku is a two-night event from the Fukuoka Convention Center on May 3 & May 4.
