Jacob Fatu secured a pinfall victory over Drew McIntyre in their unsanctioned match on night one of WrestleMania 42.

Fatu won the match after striking McIntyre with a toolbox and executing a moonsault.

The action began before the referee officially started the match. Fatu launched a suicide dive at McIntyre near the entrance ramp. He then threw numerous weapons into the ring, including tables, chairs, and a toolbox.

McIntyre gained an early advantage by catapulting Fatu into the exposed steel frame beneath the ring canvas. He briefly halted his attack to take a cell phone from his brother at ringside. McIntyre used the device to film the scene before striking Fatu with it.

Both men heavily utilized foreign objects throughout the contest. McIntyre attacked Fatu’s head with a wrench and later drove him through two steel chairs using a Falcon Arrow. Fatu retaliated by hitting McIntyre with steel chairs. He also took referee Dan Engler’s belt and whipped McIntyre’s back repeatedly.

McIntyre successfully connected with a Claymore kick, but Fatu kicked out of the resulting pin attempt. The action moved to the corner, where McIntyre pushed Fatu from the top turnbuckle through a table set up on the floor.

Fatu quickly recovered and answered with a pair of superkicks inside the ring. He struck McIntyre in the head with the toolbox, knocking him onto a table. Fatu immediately hit a moonsault off the top rope to send McIntyre through the wood and secure the pinfall win.
