Three matchups have been confirmed for the April 28 episode of WWE NXT.
Next week’s show will see Myles Borne defend his NXT North American Championship against Saquon Shugars of DarkState.
Shugars accidentally caused teammate Dion Lennox to lose a match against Borne on this week’s episode of NXT. Moments after the result, Shugars tried to fix the situation by begging General Manager Robert Stone to give the group another chance at the title.
But tensions only grew within the group when Stone decided that the next bout featuring Borne would be against Shugars instead of a rematch for Lennox.
Next week’s lineup will also see former NXT Champion Ricky Saints go one-on-one with Shiloh Hill. Saints tried interfering in an NXT title match between Tony D’Angelo and Ethan Page last week, but was dragged away from the match by Hill. This week, ahead of their grudge match, Saints attacked Hill backstage.
The NXT debut of Lizzy Rain is also set for next week. Rain, who gained prominence over the past few years as Rayne Leverkusen on the European independent scene, signed with WWE just earlier this year. Shortly after joining the roster, she’s set to appear on TV with a heavy metal gimmick.
While it wasn’t announced on Tuesday night, a segment on this week’s episode of NXT teased an upcoming tag match that will see two members of the Birthright faction take on rookies EK Prosper and Dorian Van Dux.
Here are the three segments confirmed
- Ricky Saints vs. Shiloh Hill
- Myles Borne vs. Saquon Shugars (NXT North American Championship)
- Lizzy Rain makes NXT debut
