CMLL and NJPW will come together for an event this summer in the legendary Arena Mexico venue.
Fantastica Mania: Mexico will go down on Friday, June 19 in Mexico City, CMLL announced on Wednesday evening.
For years, Fantastica Mania was a series of events that saw CMLL go on tour in Japan with NJPW. However, as of late, the brand has expanded and also included shows on the flipside, with Japanese talent heading to Mexico to work CMLL dates.
Last year’s Fantastica Mania Mexico card notably also had involvement from AEW, who was in the country that weekend for its first-ever Grand Slam: Mexico card.
AEW has yet to announce any dates in Mexico this year, and it currently looks as though they won’t be involved in this year’s Fanstatica Mania event in the country.
The lineup for the upcoming event will be revealed next week by CMLL.
