TKO has entered a partnership with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance for a multi-year agreement, bringing UFC, WWE, PBR, and Zuffa Boxing events to the state.
The deal will encompass seven events across TKO’s promotional entities, although no dates or shows have been released. It is the latest arrangement between TKO and a government or private entity as part of the company’s push for “Financial Incentive Packages”.
The UFC last ran the state in May 2022 with the UFC 274 pay-per-view, featuring Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje. The event generated a live gate of $6.1 million at the Footprint Center (now the Mortgage Matchup Center) in Phoenix.
WWE held SmackDown at the same arena this past March with WrestleTix listing a final ticket distribution figure of 9,895. Last June, an episode of Raw took place at the venue and had 14,079 tickets distributed.
