The B Block in NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament remains a close one, with a five-way tie at the top.

YOH, SHO, Taiji Ishimori, El Desperado and DDT’s Daisuke Sasaki all lead the division with six points following Saturday’s show at Arcrea Himeji in Hyogo, Japan.

The main event of Saturday night saw Robbie Eagles go a deep 18 minutes against YOH, scoring his Hyperion finisher for the pinfall win. The result, Eagles’ second win of the tournament thus far, prevented YOH from extending his score to eight points and leading the Block alone.

SHO was held to six points after a loss in the co-main event to Desperado. Surviving a pre-match attack from SHO alongside House of Torture ally Dick Togo, Desperado found the win in 10 minutes with Numero Dos.

In the quickest match of the night, Taiji Ishimori beat Yoshinobu Kanemaru in a battle of the underhanded tactics, hitting a low blow for the roll-up in three minutes.

DDT’s Sasaki attempted to use a chair against Jakob Austin Young on Saturday, but the plan backfired. Young tripped up Sasaki, causing the brawler to land face-first into the chair he was holding. This allowed Young to then finish the match with his Bites the Dust DDT finisher.

KUSHIDA remains at just one win in the tournament thus far after losing to Dragon Gate’s Hyo on Saturday.

The sole A Block match of the evening saw CMLL’s Valiente Jr. pick up his second win of the tournament, using skewers to help him defeat deathmatch star Jun Kasai in seven minutes.
