Referee Dallas Edwards is set to return following a very public health emergency he suffered during a live broadcast earlier this year.

In March, Edwards was the referee for a ‘Four Corners of Chaos’ match during a live-streaming episode of OVW ‘Rise’ when he suffered a seizure. Edwards was struck by a flying forearm and proceeded to convulse on the mat, yet the match continued, and Edward was not immediately tended to.

Edwards would confirm that he sustained a concussion and a subdural hematoma and implored his fellow workers to get the proper training to avoid situations as he experienced.

Nearly three months later, Edwards is returning to refereeing and issued the following:

The recovery hasn’t been an easy one, but there have been amazing people that went above and beyond to make sure that I wasn’t alone. I will be resuming my schedule from before and taking additional bookings accordingly!!

OVW promoter Al Snow said the promotion would make changes to its in-ring and ringside protocols and provide additional training.
