New GHC tag team champions were crowned at the June 25 NOAH Legacy Rise show.

A week after winning the Neo Global Tag League, Passion MAX’s Manabu Soya and Yuki Iino defeated BUSHI and Tetsuya Naito of Los Tranquilos de Japon to win the GHC tag team titles. It’s the pair’s first time winning the tag team titles, and Soya’s second reign as tag team champion; he last won the tag titles with Daiki Inaba last year.

After the match, Masa Kitamiya and Takashi Sugiura attacked the new champions and announced themselves as their first challengers.

The full match was uploaded to Pro Wrestling NOAH’s YouTube channel.

Also on the show, Naomichi Marufuji completed his second defense of the GHC National Championship by defeating Shuji Kondo. After the match, Kenoh confronted Marufuji and challenged him for the title.

In the main event, Shane Haste defeated Tetsuya Endo with a Death Valley Bomb for his second defense of the GHC Heavyweight Championship. OZAWA came out after the match and offered to translate Haste’s promo to the crowd in place of KENTA, who was not on the show. However, he mistranslated everything and said that the crowd would be “hotter” with him in the main event, challenging Haste for the title.

OZAWA was later confirmed as Haste’s next challenger for the GHC Heavyweight Title, as well as the start of the N-1 Victory tournament on Sept. 12 and the finals on Oct. 4.
