Mark Briscoe isn’t wasting any time.

After earning an AEW World Championship opportunity on Sunday night, Briscoe is cashing in that opportunity just days later on Dynamite.

Team Briscoe won a six-on-six cage match at last night’s Forbidden Door card, beating MJF and members of the Don Callis Family. Per a stipulation agreed upon prior to the match, a win for Team Briscoe would give the veteran ROH talent a future shot at MJF’s world title.

Just minutes after his win, Briscoe said in a backstage segment that he plans to use his title shot as part of this Wednesday’s Dynamite from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California.

While Briscoe and MJF have faced off many times before, including a “Tables N’ Tacks” match at All Out last year, this will be the first time they meet in a world title opportunity.

MJF will be attempting to defend his world title for the second time since recapturing it at Double or Nothing last month.

Here’s an updated look at this week’s Dynamite, which now has two title showdowns scheduled for it:

  • Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander vs. Maika vs. Queen Aminata vs. Persephone vs. Harley Cameron (Vacant TBS Championship) (Survival of the Fittest Match)
  • MJF vs. Mark Briscoe (AEW World Championship)
