Santos Escobar has broken his silence following a recent departure from the WWE roster.
Escobar, former leader of the Legado del Fantasma faction, was caught amid a massive wave of WWE roster cuts back in April. The Mexican talent had been on the WWE roster since 2020, starting out in NXT before moving to Smackdown. He had also started to re-appear on AAA programming after WWE bought the company in 2025.
As he moves on from his WWE deal and looks toward the next chapter in his career, Escobar posted a farewell to X on Wednesday.

Escobar has been counting down days on his social media recently, recounting chapters of his career along the way.
Escobar is now returning to a ring name he used before his WWE career, El Hijo del Fantasma. It’s unclear where he could land next, although it’s expected that he could show up anywhere soon, as his 90-day non-compete clause is most likely done by now.
